Background & Overview
Since the 1920’s, Foster Grant has been the leader in fashionable eyewear delivering superior style, quality and value to consumers worldwide.
While maintaining the integrity of the brand’s rich history, Linchpin revamped their e-commerce storefront by highlighting Foster Grant’s on-trend style with a focus on cross-category merchandising and mobile UX to drive conversion.

Goals, Strategy & Implementation
After an initial website redesign launching over 6 years ago, we returned to work alongside the Foster Grant team to bring new life and an improved customer-focused experience to their ecommerce site. With an underlying goal of presenting an aspirational lifestyle brand, while optimizing the shopping experience for both returning and new customers alike, we collaborated together to bring the revitalized Foster Grant brand vision to life.
Informed by years of customer data and research, we created a positive customer experience to help build brand loyalty and encourage product discovery through an effective buyer journey that ultimately increased transactions. Greater opportunity for cross-sells not only exposed the brand’s breadth of product categories, but also provided customers with compatible product in relevant areas of the site, such as fits-over sunglasses for your readers, or a case for your new sunnies. Historically, customers come to FosterGrant.com looking for sunglasses, not realizing that they also sell reading glasses, blue light glasses, digital readers, and more. With the help of the Frame Finder quiz and virtual try-ons, customers can experience a more personalized experience and feel confident in their purchase.
